Who?
I am Jade Robbins. I am a graduate from Montana State University with a Bachelors in Business Management and a minor in the Management of Information Systems. I currently work for the Information Technology Center at Montana State University as the Student Labs Supervisor. I also do freelance web consulting for small businesses.
What?
I am currently a cohost and producer of the web technology podcast Faceoff with Mark Sanborn.
My current interests lie with using web applications (both in-house and 3rd party) to help improve communication and business processes. Specifically I love looking at new web 2.0 (and beyond!) communication tools and how to integrate them into your business with the ultimate goal being to reduce your inbox clutter and improve efficiency.
I also am very interested in business development, specifically entrepreneurship, small businesses, and start-ups. I specialize in helping small businesses use web tools efficiently. In today’s marketplace I think that a web presence is essential and using simple tools (such as WordPress) a small business can have their own corner of the web that is easy to maintain and an effective marketing tool.
Why?
Because I love web technology! I’ve been building, implementing, and using various types of web technology professionally since the age of 17. I also believe that everything I do is a learning experience and I try to gain as much as I can from anything I do both personally and professionally.
